Product Manager — Help
Last updated: August 2026
The Product Manager is where you add, edit, price, and manage every item in your store. Open it from the Product Manager button in the Seller Studio sidebar.
Adding a product
Fill in the form directly (recommended for full control), or ask the AI assistant in chat — both save the same way. A product needs:
- Name and description
- Category and type — pick from your store’s existing ones, or type a new category name to create it on the spot (only the manager form can create new categories/sub-categories; the AI chat won’t invent one from a product’s tags or description)
- Price — this is your final selling price, what the buyer pays (the canonical field is
original_priceinternally) - Main image, and optionally extra gallery images
- Shipping details: SKU, weight (kg), and length/width/height (cm) — these directly drive the shipping cost quoted to buyers at checkout, so keep them accurate rather than using placeholder numbers
Images: main image vs. gallery
The main image is what shows everywhere by default — product cards, thumbnails, the cart. The gallery is the additional set of images shown alongside the main image on the product detail page. They’re independent: uploading gallery images does not change the main image, and vice versa. There’s no rule that the gallery must repeat the main image.
Subtitle
A short line shown right below the product name on the detail page — good for a quick tagline (“Handmade, ships in 2 days”) separate from the full description.
Sizes, colors, fits, and styles
If your product comes in variants, add them as Sizes, Colors, Fits, or Styles. Sizes can each carry their own weight (kg) if a larger size genuinely weighs more — set it explicitly per size if it matters for shipping accuracy; otherwise the product’s overall weight is used for every size.
Showcase mode
Turn on Showcase for a product you want to display but isn’t for sale yet (e.g. a new store still building its catalog). While on, the storefront hides the price and Add to Cart/Buy Now, showing a “Visit Profile” link instead. Turn it off whenever the product is ready to sell.
Editing a product
Open any existing product from the list and change whatever you need — name, price, images, shipping details, variants. Saves happen the same way as adding: instantly to your store’s data, visible right away in the manager.
Removing a product
Removing a product is a soft delete — it disappears from your storefront immediately (once you deploy), but it isn’t gone. It stays in your product list with a “Removed” badge, and you can bring it back anytime with Add back.
Best Sellers
The Best Sellers tab lets you hand-pick which products get featured in your store’s Best Sellers section, and in what order.
Bulk-adding products
Two ways to add many products at once, from the attach button next to the chat input:
- CSV import — for a small catalog. Attach a spreadsheet (product name and price required; weight, descriptions, and other details are optional and get mapped automatically). Only the first 6 products are created immediately when starting a brand-new store; the rest can be added afterward right here in the Product Manager.
- WordPress → ShopDhoom (sidebar, under Migrate) — for a real, existing WooCommerce store. This pulls your actual product catalog, categories, prices, and images directly from your live site — see the migration flow for details; it isn’t limited to 6 products.
Publishing your changes
Adding or editing a product saves immediately — you’ll see it reflected right away here in the manager. It does not automatically go live on your public storefront. Once you’re happy with your changes, hit Deploy changes in the sidebar to publish — see the Deployment guide for details.
